The mind is such a powerful tool. It links the different senses to create a memory. Whenever I hear this particular song on my iPod being played, or the smell of my grapefruit hand soap in the bathroom whenever I wash my hands, or just one whiff of that scent, or the slightest mention or thought of Raffles City Shopping Centre just evokes the memories of last summer. The people, the places, the emotions, all in one.
Despite being in very sticky circumstances then, there was a silver lining on that cloud.
And honestly, I do miss those times.
