Forbidden City I

Today I'll bring everyone on a mini-tour of the Summer Palace in Beijing, where the Emperor and his concubines would move to over summer and move back to their usual residence during the other seasons of the year.

Notice how brilliant and bright the colours are. That's because the entire place is undergoing restorations. The colours have faded along the years and this is one of the the major attractions in Beijing. Factor in the Olympics this year in Beijing, sure enough they had to do something about it.
