Bridges

Bridges take you over obstacles and usually, it'd be rivers or anything that's close to this deviation. Bridges take you across, over and safely to the other side.

But the worst thing that can happen is that when you burn your own bridges. Oh lawsie mercy.

lovely framing here,i like it a lot!To think on the flip side,burning bridges sometimes doesnt have to be a bad thing because without doing so,it provides a perfect temptation for you to go back to where you wanted to forsake in the first place:)

@tyan: thanks Tyan! i agree with you, but sometimes it's just that burning bridges is an irreversible process.

great narrative to describe the photo. i agree with tricia, you really don't want to burn your bridges. you never know when you might need their help again, especially previous employer to be used as reference for your future employer.

@Tse Min: nah, not referring to work. work's been fantastic. everything's going smooth with work. just that there have been other things bugging me and sometimes i feel as though i've burned one of my bridges.

Excellent image. Yes, continuing the discussion above, we need to discern which really are our bridges in life (and, I agree, these certainly ought not to be burnt) and what may look like bridges in our lives, but really are not (fake or illusory ones – if we cross them, they’ll probably give way and we fall well over - not nice, from personal experience years ago :o) ). The other issue of course is what exactly we mean by "burning". And whether the so-called "burning" is even intentional. Sometimes bridges unintentionally burnt can be rebuilt when parties realise what really was going on, and if there is some grace on each side...... Great subject for discussion, Treesh! :)

@Rebecca: That is true. Alot of times, it really depends on how we define things which often makes the difference. Another point to reflect on I guess.
